Still can't get this cable to work. the only time the computer gets input via the mic jack is when the volume button is pressed. Either it's the wrong cable or it's defective.

Didn't work using my Bose QC 25's for Apple. I didn't test it with regular apple headphones so I can't say they were defective.

my cable does not work if i plug directly into the jack to a computer with a apple headset the sound option is totally non- working. since i bought it for a apple bose headset my item does not work as described, very dissatisfied!

My computer does not have one single port, so I needed to buy a cable splitter for my desktop computer. I had originally bought one off amazon, but did not work, as you neede a Special one

OK, this was purely an impulse purchase. It's supposed to allow a regular stereo headset for a phone to work with an Elecraft KX2, but I couldn't get it to work (yes, I tried reversing audio and mic lines, changing the Mic Bias, changing the Buttons setting). I'm not done futzing around with it, maybe I will get it to work. Nothing wrong with the item, just it's application.

While the description says Apple meaning ctia standard, so far it does not work that way and may be the older standard.
