Combine your PC/Windows based 3.5 stereo audio and 3.5mm mono microphone to the Apple(TM) based standard for headset with Microphone use. Uses APPLE(TM) wiring standard. Not suitable for NON-Apple headset products. The APPLE(TM) standard uses the TIP of a 4 conductor connection as the microphone connector, bands 1 and 2 for the audio, band 3 for the common ground, and band 4 for microphone (mono). Please see PRODUCT MANUAL for drawing and pin-out diagram. This adapter device is primarily used when you have a PC/WINDOWS based computer to plug in both the male connectors into the HEADPHONES and MICROPHONE port, to provide a suitable FEMALE port to plug in an Apple branded headphone set. This adapter cable MAY have other possible uses.
