I ran the cable from my Lazy Boy chair in a room in the house, through an opening at the portable air conditioner, and then to the camera on a tripod. I can see the hummingbird feeder from my chair and when a hummingbird goes to the feeder I press the button on the remote. My camera continuously shoots until I let go. Getting nice stop action at ISO 1600.

I connect head phones to computer for all media. I need 35 ft. to walk around apartment. These cables twist up and eventually will not connect; they are not meant for this kind of use. This is why I buy so many. I have not found a more durable audio extension. Please tell me if one exists.

Headset into desktop using this 35' extension to walk around apartment. Gets stepped on and handled a lot. I tape a popsicle stick around the connection to keep cable from bending. I buy 2 at a time because they last 2-3 months when either the connection or the wires within the length of the cable need jiggling to keep contact until I give up and just reach for a new one. I understand audio cables are meant to lay still, not for daily manipulation with the headset.

RESPONSE: You are correct. MOST cables are not meant to be carried or continuous be bent. These are a general duty, ECONOMY cable that will eventually fail with this type of use

I use this extension cable to walk around an apartment from my desktop tower. I have stepped on the place where the headphones insert into the extension. A person on the phone said it is not really made to withstand the wear & tear of going around. Suggested I wrap critical points with tape. I added a Popsicle stick as a brace and wrapped it with tape. I'll see how long that lasts.
Apartment dwelling requires the use of headphones. if somebody could design and manufacture one that would be useful. I am looking to find some kind of sturdy plastic gadget to encase that junction. thanks.
