Your payment transaction has been declined. The following reason was provided by the authorization service:

If possible, please go back and make the appropriate corrections, to successfully complete your order

Some of the most COMMON reasons for a card decline are:

  • An Invalid CVV2 Code is incorrect (the 3 or 4 digit code on the signature strip - or front of your card). An incorrect CVV2 code is the cause of MOST instances of a credit card authorization failing:
  • The card expiration has been entered in incorrectly (normally error #2)
  • The order's Billing ZIP code does not match the billing ZIP code on file with your credit card company (normally error #2). If you have recently moved, perhaps your OLD address is still on file with your bank. Or, perhaps your billing and shipping address are the same but you need to UPDATE this information to have a different billing address.
  • Your bank or issuer as a precaution, has declined to provide an authorization to us
  • The transaction has been declined by your bank. Please contact your issuing bank or credit card issuer

Important Note about Declines, Authorizations, and your Credit Card Statement: Certain credit card "declines" - such as invalid billing addresses entered or an invalid CVV2 code entered will may still show an authorization on your credit card statement. Rest assured that they are not CHARGES, but authorizations which will simply disappear in 2-3 business days. "Declined Authorizations" are granted when card transactions are declined in some instances to assist the credit card companies in fraud detection. By keeping a brief history of charge ATTEMPTS, they can quickly alert you for unusual, and repeated attempts to charge your card. You can contact your credit card company and they will verify that such an authorization was for a declined transaction, or for an approved transactions.
