This
ACTIVE EXTENSION cable is tested to meet up to 5Gbps when used directly. Using this cable as an EXTENSION cable to lengthen an existing USB 3.1 type C cable MAY reduce the operating speed. An optional power supply MAY be connected to the female barrel port (port size: 4.5mm/1.3mm, 5V/2A), not included.
This USB 3.1 Gen 1 EXTENSION cable features a male USB Type C connector on one end, and a FEMALE USB Type-C connector on the other end.

Technical Note: USB Type-C EXTENSION cables might not be compatible with ALL devices - especially if you are extending the net total length beyond 6 feet, using it with a USB HUB or other converting device. USB Type-C technology is very restrictive at longer lengths.
This cable will NOT support extending Star Micronics TSP100 Thermal Receipt Printers or similar models. RMA Returns for this product will be granted but My Cable Mart will NOT provide pre-paid return shipping costs due to product incompatibilities. USB-C extension cables when used with a QUICK-CHARGE cable will NOT sustain the QC charge rates, nor will support POWER DELIVERY (PD) Charge rates will instead be substantially reduced.
