1x4 HDMI 18Gbps Splitter is an advanced solution for splitting a single HDMI signal to 4 HDMI displays. It provides high performance audio and video output through HDMI cables up to 4K2K@60Hz 4:4:4 and is capable of receiving and transmitting up to 18Gbps of bandwidth with no data loss. Supporting the latest features you can be assured of reliable and high quality HDMI distribution.

Tech Note: This device has some basic EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) control that operates in two modes via a switch on the front panel. In the STD position, the splitter will use its internal EDID information to set the source input to 1080p w/ 2 channel stereo audio, all connected TVs, no matter their resolution capabilities, will only receive 1080p from the input. In the TV position, the splitter will read the EDID information from the TV connected to HDMI Out 1 and if it reads a 4k resolution the source will be set to that resolution. If it doesn't sense a 4k resolution on HDMI Out 1, the device will set the source to the highest common resolution between all outputs.

Of all of the HDMI splitters I researched, this is the ONLY one that truly splits the signal synchronously to the four ports. Other "4 port" splitters will only split the signal to two ports synchronously, and then additional splitters must be purchased to split the signal four times (that would require three of the other splitters). After being forced to "upgrade" the box from (company name withheld), the only way I could connect all three televisions was to get a true 4 port splitter. The wonderful information on this site also stated the maximum cable length from the splitter to the output device; very useful information to have to prevent failures which would have been impossible to diagnose because no other site selling splitters has this information.
