Other than a bit of trouble finding the serial # for the software (it is on the front of the CD), this works great! I have already transferred several hours of VHS tape to my hard drive and am grateful for this product!

Ripoff for my need. Trying three different cable combinations. #1. Does not work with Windows 10. Will not recognize video no matter what. #2. CD disc only goes up to Windows 7. DirectX will not work on Windows 10. #3. I've spent hours trying to find a Windows 10 Driver that will work. No luck. #4. Honestech (Honest Tech) is not a safe site to go to on the Internet. It lost it's valid credentials 64 days ago. Strong warning from virus protection. And, there's no clear website to go to. Honestech; is the closest you can get. The brand name is VIDEO DVR CAPTURE.
Summary: I will return it to WalMart. I received an email to rate it or return it (advised to go through WalMart). My first contact phone number. Comments: Very nice tech support guy said: Cannot help you with that (question), cannot help you with that (question), etc. Driver: Cannot help with that. He did say that a couple of people plugged it in and it worked with windows 10.

Little to no instructions with device. Sheet says you can edit, color correct, etc. But How??? Want to transfer VHS tapes to DVD.(This is why the avg. rating)

Lack of instructions. It took me about an hour to get it to work at all and a little more time to get the resolution set. I was almost ready to send it back when it started working. Video quality is fair but audio has a little bit of noise in it.

RESPONSE: Unfortunately, this is COMPOSITE VIDEO which only provides for 320 lines of resolution (compared to todays TVs at 1080)
