I tried to use your signal booster to increase the number of channels I receive on my tv. Once installed it decreased the number of channels I receive. It is Chinese junk.
I have other tv's with other signal boosters. They work fine.

Unit required a short piece of co-axial cable with two female ends ( not included )
to connect to TV box. I used a 25' cable I had on hand but after running a scan I lost channels.

|
|
RESPONSE: A signal amplifier/booster will only IMPROVE a signal that is already present. This booster should work for any channel that is used by off-air TV stations. There are always situations where any amplifier does not help. If the station is particularly weak, but there are other very strong channels nearby, even radio stations, such radio station signals may BLOCK OUT a TV stations. This amplifier amplifies everything within the frequency range specified, to the point where a local strong station could create interference that covers up the weak station you are attempting to receive.

No directions with product. Hooked it up in every way possible. One way = no signals. Rehooked in different location & got 3 stations. Another location & got 1 station. Disconnected & put booster in a drawer. Wasted my $23.71.

Recovered several lost channels due to expanding my system. After setting up and re-scanning, channels came back just fully HD. Haven’t done a total count, but I think I’ve gained a few extra channels as well.

If this item was to be used to "boost" antenna reception it failed. We purchased it to add signals to our current but older amplifier. It not only did not amplify, it removed several of the channels we had been receiving. Tomorrow we will crawl back under the house and change back to the old amplifier.

It did what a booster should do and brought in signals in that weren't coming through with just an antenna... before that it was only two or three and now we get a good dozen... and wth more than 60' of cable it was necessary...

I bought the amp as a in line amp. Antenna is a clearstream 4max then a Winegard preamp then 25 ft +/- cord then a winegard inline amp then 15 ft cord then converter box. Mediasonic.I live in puyallup, WA. Surrounded by hills and a freeway 1/2 mile away. I get 51 stations, but several are weak, Pivalization and drop-outs. 485 HMz to 605 HMz. the Wine gard amp is a 15db. Also at present I can only get the antenna 19 ft in the air.I believe this to be the biggest problem. Land lord won't let me mount any thing on roof. After replacing the in line amp with yours I I was only getting about 15 channels. Tried using both amps back to back with no improvements. I then moved the winegard amp closer to the antenna and inserted your amp at the converted box. A modest improvement @ 605 HMz. I am looking at the Winegard 20 db. I REALLY like the solid frame of your amp well built! I am going to,keep it. Also I forgot to mention I put 2 LTE filters end to end ( Channel Master ). Made big improvement. Mounted them at the input to preamp.

RESPONSE: Thanks for this review. This specific antenna amp is one of three amps that we sell - but this is the ECONOMY model. Adding additional features to an economy model increases the price, and eventually, would have this priced near the models with more features.

Without going into details, I had trouble picking up my local CBS tv station on my external over-the -air antenna. Having installed this in-line amplifier near my television set, it works for me, and I can now watch local CBS in peace....

My main reason the ad the amplifier was to pick up a weak signal from one of our local over the air channels that would not always connect due to poor signal by adding the booster the signals coming in clear and appears to have helped our signal issue

Jeopardy is my favorite TV show and the chanel it is on was right at the limit of usability with lots of audio and video dropouts but not now with the amp in-line. Perfect picture and sound now. Now I get 42 channels from Oklahoma City. None are over amped. All are just perfect. Only way it could have been better is if a male to female coax adaptor was included.

I swapped this amplifier with a less expensive unit that came with another indoor antenna, expecting 25dB output to expand the number of channels accessible. Previously I received 32 channels and with this product my channel count dropped to 20. That is with no change other than swapping out the amplifier. Disappointed to say the least.
