It is not what I was looking for. The molding around the 3.5mm Male plug is too wide to fit I need a slimmer one.

My wife has a CaseIt vault for her Galaxy Android phone which really protects it from damage from falls, but this type of 3 piece thick case, like an Otter Box, makes it so that the ports for the earpiece are too deep for her to use her Square Credit card reader without having to take the case off every time she uses it. This handy adapter made her square work perfect through the thick case. Works great.

I tried using it with my iPad Air to allow me to plus in a pair of headphones,. It didn’t work. I have the Apple Smart Cover and despite th extenders design, it didn’t work because it wasn’t narrow enough.

I have bought several 4 pin dongles over the last few months. All In my search for a Square extension. NONE of them were true 4 wire...until now! It works, as advertised. These work great! This is the 3rd aux extender I've gotten to power our CC swipers, and these are the first that actually power the swiper. They work with our iPad that is in an Otterbox case.

I am trying to find a cable that will serve as a connection between my ear phone jack and the female port on my iPod shuffle. When I put a protective case on my new iPod shuffle the earphone jacks were too short to work properly and cut the sound off. So the sound keeps coming from the iPod shuffle while you are trying to listen to my 6500 songs. Very annoying. I walk a lot. 20,000 steps a day through my 40 acres of woods. So the ones you sent the male was not long enough to shut the iPod speaker off when you want to just hear the recorded songs, and not the iPod internal speaker. If you have a proper suggestion that you have tried and it will work I would love to hear it and I'll buy them. But this was the 5th time I have purchased this item and none have worked but one. I had six craniotomies in 2014-2015. I am no doing very well but I have no short term memory. So trying to look through my purchases to try to figure out where the one's that worked came from is not possible. If you can really help and guarantee they will work, let's do business. I have to have one for each set of earphones that I own. but three if they worked would really help. I have had a tendency to lose things since my hospital stay of 7/1/14-12/18/14. Although the description said fits most phones/ otterboxes cords did not fit my iPhone 6s or my wife's iphone5s otterbox.I had to grind the outsides of the plug down to get it to fit in,one of the cords ended up being ground to the wires.I am glad I bought 3 because it was useless after I exposed the wires trying to get it to fit.

RESPONSE: Unfortunately, there are HUNDREDS of different Otterbox (and other brand name cases) that simply make the 3.5mm hole too small.
