Connect this handy adapter to your HDTV and then connect a standard male HDMI wire to this adapter. Ideal for TV's that are wall-mounted, but do not leave enough room for the cable to easily connect. Once male HDMI end is inserted, adapter has approx 3/8" clearance. Gold Plated, HDMI 1.4 certified.

Important Note about Resistance: Due to the added resistance introduced when an HDMI switch, connector, adapter, wall-plate, or splitter is used, we recommend the use of THICKER (higher gauge) HDMI cables.

Be sure to check the orientation (ie up or down) that you need by comparing the PHOTO of this adapter to the orientation of your female HDMI port on your TV (or other device).

Important Note for 3D TVs and v1.4 Support of HDMI with Ethernet: Although these adapters were originally manufactured and tested to meet ATC v1.3 specifications, our manufacturer has confirmed that they will ALSO meet any future HDMI revisions, including but not limited to v1.4 and v2.0. They are FULLY compable with 3D and 4Kx2K technologies

Works with HDMI 2 as well. The ports on the back of my screen point downward, and the cable needed to route upward forming a 180Â° bend. This allows the cable to extend directly backwards without stressing the cable.
