Many newer monitors now have DISPLAYPORT as a video INPUT. This adapter will convert and HDMI SOURCE (such as a computer video output) to DisplayPort. Use this adapter and connect it to the DisplayPort on your monitor and then use a standard HDMI cable to connect to this adapter.
