1x2 HDMI 18Gbps Splitter is an advanced solution for splitting a single HDMI signal to 2 HDMI displays. It provides high performance audio and video output through HDMI cables up to 4K2K@60Hz 4:4:4 and is capable of receiving and transmitting up to 18Gbps of bandwidth with no data loss. Supporting the latest features you can be assured of reliable and high quality HDMI distribution.
Tech Note: This device has some basic EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) control that operates in two modes via a switch on the front panel. In the STD position, the splitter will use its internal EDID information to set the source input to 1080p, all connected TVs, no matter their resolution capabilities, will only receive 1080p from the input. In the TV position, the splitter will read the EDID information from the TV connected to HDMI Out 1 and set the source to the highest resolution the TV on HDMI Out 1 is capable to display (up to 18Gbps (4k60Hz) through this splitter). This can be handy if you have two TVs connected that are of different resolutions, one 4k and one 1080p, when you just want to watch the source on both TVs flip the switch to STD and if you're watching a movie and want full 4k resolution to the one TV on HDMI Out 1, flip the switch to TV. Be aware that when you've selected TV and the EDID resolution is above the capabilities of the display on HDMI Out 2, HDMI Out 2 will NOT display a picture.
